Anadarko Fined For Destroying Wetlands

Law360 (November 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has agreed to pay a $157,500 fine for destroying about three acres of wetlands next to the Hams Fork River in Lincoln County, Wyo.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Anadarko subsidiaries Westport Oil and Gas Co. and Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Onshore LP violated the Clean Water Act by placing material into the wetlands during the construction of two natural gas well pads, associated access roads and connecting pipelines.
