Fisher-Price Hit With Suit Over Recalled Baby Sleepers

Law360, Los Angeles (January 14, 2013, 6:06 PM EST) -- Two consumers hit Fisher-Price Inc. and Target Corp. with a proposed class action in an Alabama federal court Friday over a recently recalled infant sleeper they said develops mold that leads to respiratory problems for children.

The lawsuit, which also names Fisher-Price's parent company, Mattel Inc., comes just days after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Fisher-Price Inc., announced a voluntary recall and inspection of 800,000 units of the “Newborn Rock ‘N Play” infant sleepers following 600 customer complaints about mold that develops...
