Deutsche Bank Unit May Settle FERC Row Over Power Trades

Law360, New York (January 11, 2013, 10:19 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is negotiating a settlement with Deutsche Bank AG’s energy trading unit in their dispute over its alleged manipulation of electricity prices in California for which the FERC had floated a $1.5 million fine, according to FERC documents filed Friday.

In a motion filed in proceedings before the FERC, the agency indicated it was in settlement talks and sought a week-long extension to file its reply to Deutsche Bank Energy Trading LLC, which in November had threatened to take it to court...
