T-Mobile To Sell Unlocked IPhone In Germany

Law360, New York (November 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Deutsche Telekom AG has announced that, in accordance with a court order, customers in Germany will now be able to purchase unlocked Apple Inc. iPhones from its T-Mobile subsidiary without signing a contract.

But customers will have to pay for the privilege of a newly unlocked phone that will work on other networks. T-Mobile in Germany will offer the iPhone without a contract for 999 euros ($1,464). If customers sign a 24-month contract, the phone will cost 399 euros ($585).
