UK High Court Won't Hear Brawl Over 'Budweiser' Mark

Law360, New York (January 15, 2013, 4:56 PM EST) -- The U.K.'s highest appeals court has rejected Anheuser-Busch InBev NV’s latest attempt to force Czech brewery Budejovicky Budvar NP to stop using the name “Budweiser” in the U.K., the small brewer said Tuesday.

The U.K. Supreme Court last week declined to hear an appeal of an earlier ruling that found both companies could lay claim to the "Budweiser" trademark in the U.K. without causing substantial confusion, according to Budvar.
