ITC Approves Duties On Vietnamese Wire Clothes Hangers

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 3:34 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that steel wire garment hangers imported from Vietnam have harmed American producers of the goods, clearing the way for anti-dumping and countervailing duties to be applied to the imports.

With a 6-0 vote, the ITC's commissioners determined the U.S. industry for the wire garment hangers has been “materially injured” by imports from Vietnam.
