Red Bull No Better Than Coffee, False Ad Suit Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (January 17, 2013, 8:44 PM EST) -- Red Bull GmbH was hit with a putative class action in New York federal court Wednesday alleging the company's high-profile ads claiming that the drink “vitalizes body and mind” amount to false advertising because the drinks allegedly provide no more energy than a cup of coffee or a caffeine pill.
