Stryker Field Service Reps Win Class Cert. In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (January 17, 2013, 1:37 PM EST) -- An Indiana federal judge on Tuesday granted class status to a group of field representatives who claim a sales unit of medical technology company Stryker Corp. violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to include commissions when it calculated overtime wages.

U.S. District Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson conditionally certified an opt-in class under the FLSA that would include Stryker Sales Corp. employees who worked for the company as field service representatives within the past three years, according to an order dated Tuesday.
