DuPont Faces Derivative Suit Over $1B Monsanto IP Verdict

Law360, New York (January 17, 2013, 1:51 PM EST) -- A DuPont Co. shareholder sprung a derivative suit in Delaware federal court Wednesday over a $1 billion verdict stemming from Dupont’s infringement of Monsanto Co.'s patented technology for herbicide-resistant seeds, saying the company board knew a licensing agreement between the rivals did not allow the alleged infringement.
