High Court To Weigh Jilted Lover’s Weapons Treaty Sentence

Law360, New York (January 18, 2013, 8:40 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Friday to again hear the case of a Pennsylvania woman convicted of poisoning her husband’s lover under a law enacted pursuant to a chemical weapons treaty, after the woman said the application of the law exceeded Congress’ powers.

In a brief order, the high court granted the petition for a writ of certiorari without comment.
