U.S. To Dispatch IPR Experts To Piracy Hot Spots

Law360, New York (September 22, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to crack down on global piracy, the U.S. is dispatching a team of intellectual property experts to take on infringement issues through targeted diplomacy and training.

The Commerce Department initiative, which mirrors an effort already underway in China, will include deployment of intellectual property rights experts in countries rife with piracy, including Brazil, China, India and Russia.
