ITC Greenlights Duties On Washers From Mexico, S. Korea

Law360, New York (January 23, 2013, 1:56 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday gave the final OK to anti-dumping and countervailing duties on washing machines from Mexico and South Korea, marking a win for Whirlpool Corp. and clearing the way for duty orders against Daewoo Electronics Corp., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and others.

The ITC voted 6-0 in favor of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on large residential washers from South Korea and anti-dumping duties on washers from Mexico, concluding that the imports materially injured the domestic industry.
