NJ Power Cos. Face New Storm Response Reforms

Law360, New York (January 25, 2013, 8:05 PM EST) -- Electric utilities servicing New Jersey have pledged to work with the state on storm response and preparedness efforts following the state Board of Public Utilities' recent approval of 103 measures to improve the performance of power providers during extreme weather events such as Superstorm Sandy.

The BPU said the 59-page order it approved Wednesday will ensure that electric distribution companies completely implement most of the measures before the beginning of the 2013 hurricane season, which begins June 1, and nearly all of the measures before September....
