LSAT Prep Co. Dodges Extra Sanctions In Trade Secrets Case

Law360, Los Angeles (January 24, 2013, 8:00 PM EST) -- A California appeals court on Thursday rejected LSAT prep company Robin Singh Educational Services Inc.'s bid for a new damages trial in its trade secrets case against rival Blueprint Test Preparation LLC, rejecting its argument that Blueprint deserved further sanctions for destroying evidence.

A three-judge panel affirmed a lower court's 2007 and 2008 orders imposing monetary sanctions and monetary and nonmonetary discovery sanctions on Blueprint, and found that the evidence didn't warrant the imposition of terminating sanctions against Blueprint for allegedly destroying evidence proving its creators...
