Camden Settles Insurance Dispute Over Dirty Cop Lawsuits

Law360, New York (January 25, 2013, 4:13 PM EST) -- The city of Camden, N.J., has settled a case against State National Insurance Co. in New Jersey federal court, after demanding State National indemnify the city in a flurry of litigation that arose from a police corruption scandal, according to a motion filed on Thursday.

Camden filed its amended complaint in December 2011, accusing State National of refusing to defend the city in a series of civil cases filed against it by people who had been falsely arrested and imprisoned by city of Camden police officers...
