Ex-Health Marketing Co. Exec Says HIG Owes $450K Bonus

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 7:34 PM EST) -- The onetime chief legal counsel of Healthstar Communications Inc. has sued the health care marketing company's former controlling shareholder, HIG Capital LLC, in New Jersey state court, claiming the private equity investment firm should have paid him a $450,000 retention bonus after Healthstar's assets were sold to HSC Acquisition LLC in 2010.

Peter J. Cossman, who has also held the title of executive vice president with Healthstar, contends that the retention bonus was intended to keep the company's management team in place while HIG Capital pursued...
