Little Debbie Maker Offers $27.5M For Hostess' Drake's Brand

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 9:16 PM EST) -- Hostess Brands Inc. on Monday said the maker of Little Debbie snacks has offered $27.5 million for its Drake’s brand — known for its Devil Dogs and Ring Dings — while an Oregon baking company has made a $28.85 million play for four of its bread brands.

Plunging ahead in its mission to sell off its assets after an unsuccessful attempt to reorganize, Hostess has named McKee Foods Corp., known for its Little Debbie snacks, the stalking horse bidder for the bankrupt snack company’s Drake's brand....
