Aeropostale Infringed Floral Shirt Designs, Jury Finds

Law360, Los Angeles (January 28, 2013, 4:36 PM EST) -- A California federal jury on Friday found that clothing retailer Aeropostale Inc. and garment company Ms. Bubbles Inc. infringed LA Printex Industries Inc.’s copyrights on two floral shirt designs in a trial presided over by the Ninth Circuit’s chief judge.

Friday’s jury verdict came just two days after a trial before Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, finally resolving liability in a copyright infringement suit dating back to 2009.
