Calif. Moves To Add BPA To Prop. 65 Chemical List

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 5:19 PM EST) -- California's environmental regulator said Friday it planned to list bisphenol A on the state's Proposition 65 list of chemicals potentially dangerous to human health, a move that would make products containing certain levels of the substance subject to warning requirements.

The California Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment issued a notice that it intended to list BPA, a chemical found in some plastic products, as a known reproductive toxin under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
