Obama Gives CPSC Nominee A 2nd Shot Before Congress

Law360, New York (January 29, 2013, 3:43 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama renominated trial attorney Marietta Robinson for a commissioner position at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday, after Congress failed to confirm her to the agency over the past year.

Robinson, a Democrat, has practiced law for more than 30 years, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation. She is currently a self-practitioner in the Detroit area, though she previously served as a partner at Dickinson Wright PLLC and Sommers Schwartz PC in the 1980s.
