Freescale Says Ex-Employee Took Trade Secrets To Rival

Law360, New York (January 29, 2013, 1:56 PM EST) -- Freescale Semiconductor Inc. filed suit in Texas federal court Monday, alleging that a former employee took the company's trade secrets, including copyrighted software, and decamped to rival chip manufacturer Maxim Integrated Products Inc.

Freescale said in a complaint that former employee Tanju Yurtsever, who played an integral role in developing code for some of Freescale's proprietary software programs, shared confidential information with his new employer, Maxim, which is now allegedly making use of the Freescale software.
