Judge OKs Settlement In EDS Shareholder Suit

Law360, New York (November 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has granted preliminary approval to a $6 million deal between the officers and directors of Electronic Data Systems Corp. and shareholders who alleged that the executives inflated the company's revenue by $300 million.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas endorsed the settlement on Tuesday after presiding over a hearing on the plaintiffs' unopposed motion for approval.

Judge Davis scheduled a fairness hearing on the settlement for Jan. 30, 2008. He also appointed Gilardi & Co. LLC...
