Apollo Already On The Move With McGraw-Hill Education

Law360, New York (January 29, 2013, 3:32 PM EST) -- Apollo Global Management LLC made a $2.5 billion bet on the future of digital education two months ago, and the private equity firm isn't wasting any time getting started.

McGraw-Hill Education, the textbook and digital learning division spun off and acquired by Apollo in November, said Monday it will acquire a 20 percent equity stake in Area9 ApS, a Danish educational technology company.

The price was not disclosed.
