Power Company Sued For Contaminating Water

Law360, New York (November 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A proposed class action lawsuit was filed against Constellation Power Source Generation Inc. Thursday, alleging that fly ash the company put into former sand and gravel pits in Maryland contaminated water wells.

The company has polluted 34 residential wells with toxins including arsenic, lead and cadmium, according to the suit, which was filed in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. The toxins have been linked to cancer and other serious health effects, the suit said.
