Swire, Bal Harbour Partner On $1B Mixed-Use Miami Project

Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 4:30 PM EST) -- Hong Kong-based property developer Swire Properties Ltd. has formed an equity partnership with developer Bal Harbour Shops to build the retail section of a $1.05 billion mixed-used development in Miami, the companies said Wednesday.

Bal Harbour will oversee development of a 500,000-square-foot retail center at the property, which will be known as the Brickell CityCentre. The 2.9-million-square-foot mixed-used property is located in the Brickell Financial District in downtown Miami. Swire broke ground on the project in 2012.
