FTC Chief Leibowitz To Exit Agency In February

Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 7:37 PM EST) -- Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz will exit the agency  on Feb. 15 after nearly four years in a term marked by a string of Internet privacy battles and a controversial antitrust investigation into Google Inc. that is now facing scrutiny over leaks about its probe.

Leibowitz will step down after a long-buzzed-about departure, and his potential replacement will come from a roster of candidates that includes FTC commissioners Julie Brill and Edith Ramirez, according to a Washington Post report issued Thursday that cited people familiar...
