SEC Deputy Enforcement Head Steps To Simpson

Law360, New York (November 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's deputy director of enforcement has joined Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he will focus on building up the firm's government and internal investigations practice in Washington, D.C.

Peter Bresnan will become a partner at Simpson Thacher's two-year-old D.C. office on Dec. 5, after 12 years at the SEC. In addition to representing clients undergoing government investigations, he will assist them in carrying out their own internal reviews.
