Calif. Senators Float Flood-Control Infrastructure Bill

Law360, Los Angeles (February 1, 2013, 5:24 PM EST) -- California Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer introduced legislation Thursday authorizing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to upgrade the flood control infrastructure in the Natomas Basin near Sacramento, the legislators said.

The Democratic senators' Natomas Basin Flood Protection Improvements Act of 2013, the companion bill to California Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui’s H.R. 135, would approve flood protection projects in the town of Natomas, including $921.2 million in federal money, according to the lawmakers.
