GAO Blocks AT&T Protest Over Marine Networking Pact

Law360, New York (February 5, 2013, 7:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest by AT&T Government Solutions Inc. contesting its loss of a task order bid to supply information technology support services for the U.S. Marine Corps.

The GAO said on Jan. 30 that the Marine Corps had waived any potential organizational conflicts of interest on the part of the contract’s successful bidder, Tennessee-based Jacobs Technology Inc. Because AT&T had protested the award to Jacobs based on the rules governing conflicts of interest, the dispute was now “academic,” the agency...
