FTC Pushes Deadline On Google Essential-Patent Deal

Law360, New York (February 4, 2013, 4:26 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Friday extended the deadline for public comment on its proposed settlement barring Google Inc. from seeking injunctions against companies willing to license standard-essential patents it acquired when it bought Motorola Mobility LLC.

The deadline had been set for Monday, but the agency will now continue to accept comments through Feb. 22. The change was made "at the request of several members of the public," the FTC said Friday.
