Mouse Tech Co. Takes Second Swing At Google Earth

Law360 (November 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two months after its lawsuit against Google Inc. was dismissed from a district court in Florida, F&G Research Inc. has filed a new action in North Carolina over the same patent, alleging that Google Earth's controls infringe its intellectual property.

The patent is titled “Mouse and method for concurrent cursor position and scrolling control.” The suit, filed on Thursday, says that Google Earth's software program, in conjunction with any computer display and computer mouse directly, infringe the method of the patent.
