Commerce Seeks To Extend Steel Alloy Duties On India, Others

Law360, New York (February 6, 2013, 12:25 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce said Wednesday that it wanted to renew anti-dumping duties on imports of the steel additive silicomanganese from India, Kazakhstan and Venezuela for another five years.

Following a regularly scheduled sunset review, the department’s International Trade Administration said that removing the protective barriers would likely allow foreign exporters to once again begin selling the component in the U.S. at less-than-fair prices.
