GAO Nixes Protest Over $330M Medicare Services Contract

Law360, New York (February 6, 2013, 8:51 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest from Noridian Administrative Services LLC over its loss of a contract worth $330 million to provide Medicare administration services, according to a decision made public Tuesday.

In a decision handed down Jan. 16, the GAO said Noridian failed to adequately support the effectiveness of a proposed cost-cutting innovation, resulting in the agency revising upward Noridian’s proposed costs on the contract.
