Shearman & Sterling IP Head Quits To Launch IP Group For Kasowitz Benson

Law360, New York (September 28, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The head of Shearman & Sterling’s intellectual property practice has defected to Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman to launch an IP group for the complex-litigation powerhouse.

Salem Katsh, a veteran IP litigator, is no stranger to starting up new IP groups. He previously launched bi-coastal IP practices at Shearman & Sterling, which he joined as a partner in 1997, and at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where he practiced for 24 years.
