News Corp. Settles Phone Hacking With Fergie, 16 Others

Law360, New York (February 8, 2013, 6:02 PM EST) -- Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and 16 others settled their phone-hacking claims against News Corp.’s U.K. newspaper division Friday, receiving public apologies and undisclosed damages.

The News of the World publishers announced the settlements during the latest hearings on the scandal at London’s High Court, during which it apologized for the cases, including those of singer James Blunt and former treasury minister Geoffrey Robinson, the BBC reported Friday.
