Drugmaker Titan Ordered To Shut Down U.S. Operations

Law360, New York (February 8, 2013, 5:14 PM EST) -- California-based drug manufacturer Titan Medical Enterprises Inc. must shut down its U.S. operations after a federal judge ruled that the company failed to follow manufacturing regulations and illegally distributed unapproved new drugs, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday.

Wright awarded summary judgment to the U.S. Department of Justice in a suit accusing Titan of failing to follow FDA standards for current good manufacturing practices, or cGMP.
