Ron Paul Battles Supporters For Control Of

Law360, New York (February 11, 2013, 8:25 PM EST) -- Retired Texas Congressman Ron Paul on Thursday filed a trademark complaint with the United Nations' intellectual property agency seeking to wrest control of the domain name from a group of his supporters who, in response, suggested that turning to the international agency betrays the politician's libertarian ideals.

The Republican and three-time presidential nominee claims his years in the national spotlight have earned him trademark rights to his name. The complaint, filed with the U.N.'s World Intellectual Property Organization, seeks to have the domain names
