ABA Backs Uniform Ethics Rules For Fed, Contractor Workers

Law360, New York (February 12, 2013, 2:50 PM EST) -- The federal government should hold government contractors' employees to the same ethical standards for sensitive contracts that the government's own workers are held to, the American Bar Association said in a resolution adopted Monday.

The ABA resolution said it supported actions by the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council to prevent personal conflicts of interest for contractors' employees doing acquisition functions, including standardized model contract language for use by government agencies that put those potential conflicts into focus.
