Union Carbide, Hexion Lose $8.2M in Asbestos Case

Law360 (December 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former pipe-fitter has won $8.2 million from Hexion Specialty Chemicals Inc. and Union Carbide Corp., a subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Co. A jury found the companies liable for the plaintiff's exposure to asbestos and his subsequent development of mesothelioma.
