US Hits Chinese Cos. With Missile Proliferation Sanctions

Law360, New York (February 12, 2013, 7:23 PM EST) -- The U.S. has slapped sanctions on China's Dalian Sunny Industries for alleged missile proliferation activities, as well as on other Chinese companies that allegedly ran afoul of U.S. law governing dealings with Iran, Syria and North Korea, the U.S. Department of State said Monday.

The sanctions imposed on Li Fangwei — also known as Karl Lee — and his company Dalian Sunny Industries will last two years, during which time individual export licenses for the transfer of items covered by the Missile Technology Control Regime Annex...
