US Trustee Wrests $1.2M From GSC Advisers Over Fee-Sharing

Law360, Wilmington (February 12, 2013, 4:54 PM EST) -- Capstone Advisory Group LLC and a financial expert settled with the U.S. Trustee’s office Monday over an undisclosed fee-sharing arrangement between the advisers in GSC Group Inc.’s bankruptcy, agreeing to give up nearly $1.2 million in fees combined.

According to settlement papers filed in New York bankruptcy court, Capstone and financial expert Robert J. Manzo will also submit to stricter oversight of their bankruptcy work to appease the trustee, who accused the two of committing ethics and disclosure violations while advising the bankrupt investment management firm....
