New Century Moves To Seal Examiner's Interim Report

Law360, New York (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Collapsed New Century Financial Corp. has urged a bankruptcy judge to keep under wraps a report by an examiner appointed by the court to investigate the events surrounding the subprime mortgage giant's downfall.

The lender asked Delaware District Judge Kevin Carey to keep the examiner's first interim report, filed Nov. 21, under seal, saying it contained confidential information subject to attorney-client and attorney-work-product privileges.
