NY Fracking 'Home Rule' Appeal Looms Amid Regulatory Delay

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 8:04 PM EST) -- Delays in New York's regulatory effort to expand hydraulic fracturing have allowed an appeal over the legality of local gas drilling bans to ripen to the point where a “home rule” court precedent could arrive prior to any statewide policy and potentially allow local bans to proliferate, experts said Wednesday.
