AMICO Should Cover Hancock Center Accident, 7th Circ. Rules

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 4:27 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit on Wednesday shot down American Motorists Insurance Co.'s attempt to avoid covering a deadly construction accident at Chicago's John Hancock Center, but ordered a court to recalculate how much AMICO owes another insurer.

The ruling keeps AMICO on the hook in a fight with National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., over coverage for a tragic 2002 accident at the landmark skyscraper in downtown Chicago.
