American Home Mortgage Seeks Exclusivity Extension

Law360, New York (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt home lender American Home Mortgage Inc. has asked the bankruptcy court overseeing its Chapter 11 case for a little more time to solicit support for its reorganization plan, requesting an exclusivity extension until the spring.

In a motion filed on Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the company asked the court to push back the deadline for the exclusive period during which the company can file its plan and solicit approval of the plan.
