Long Road Ahead For US-EU Free Trade Deal

Law360, New York (February 14, 2013, 8:42 PM EST) -- As talks get underway for a landmark free trade agreement between the United States and the European Union, the two sides are far apart on many contentious issues such as agricultural trade barriers and intellectual property protection that will make for tough negotiations, so the stated goal of having a deal in place in 18 months looks overly optimistic, attorneys say.
