Law360, New York (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- General Motors Corp. notched a victory on Tuesday when an appeals court affirmed a lower court’s ruling that the lap-only seatbelt claims of the parents of a 12-year-old girl who was killed when the family's Pontiac Grand Am crashed were preempted by federal safety standards.
