Do-Not-Track Is Back On Track, Web Standards Group Says

Law360, New York (February 14, 2013, 4:28 PM EST) -- The co-chair of an international group working to establish an online tracking standard said Tuesday a flurry of meetings over the past three months has enabled it to break an impasse and develop guidelines that could lead to a proposal by summertime.

In a blog post on the World Wide Web Consortium’s website, Peter Swire said a stakeholder meeting last weekend in Boston was the final step in moving ahead with the so-called do-not-track standard, which is meant to protect the privacy of Internet users....
