FAA Pledges To Protect Privacy During Drone Tests

Law360, New York (February 14, 2013, 8:01 PM EST) -- The Federal Aviation Administration said Thursday that it was establishing six new research sites for unmanned aerial aircraft and promised to adhere to state and federal privacy laws as part of the drone testing program.

The sites will provide the FAA with secure places for the agency to figure out how to safely integrate drones into the national airspace and determine the proper safety and navigation requirements, the FAA said.
