NJ May See Fewer Insurance Options Under Federal Exchange

Law360, New York (February 19, 2013, 9:10 PM EST) -- While he may have erred on the side of caution, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's recent decision to have the federal government run a health insurance exchange for the state could mean less innovative coverage options for businesses and the uninsured, attorneys told Law360.

A state-based exchange would give New Jersey more flexibility and the chance to expand on federal mandates, perhaps by providing some additional level of insurance that included vision or dental coverage, according to C. Mitchell Goldman, a partner and health law expert...
